Disabled Liasion Officer

The club no longer has a named Disability Liaison Officer. However, the responsibilities previously undertaken by the DLO have been reallocated to other departments.

As such, we anticipate no changes to our healthy and productive association with PADSA. The link remains as solid as ever, and we welcome disabled supporters raising any concerns they may have with us.

Indeed, a meeting between our Stadium Manager and PADSA’s chairman has already taken place since some internal re-organisation.

The Stadium Manager will represent PADSA on the club’s working committee which has been set up to plan the new Grandstand development.

The post of DLO was not made redundant. A process was begun whereby the last holder of the post, Barry Hardman, was told that his position at the club – which incorporated, but was not limited to, the DLO role – was at risk.

At that point, Barry elected to take voluntary redundancy, bringing the process to a halt.

As many of you will already know Barry Hardman has left the post of DLO. Contrary to some speculations the post of DLO, the role is still being filled, the duties have been split a little to try to speed things up. The Box Office will have all details for members of PADSA and will deal with all ticketing issues. Dave Boobyer will take the rest of Barry’s duties and will also oversee the Box Office staff. He is now the first point of contact at Argyle for all disabled issues.
